Referee

I think I should wear black and white pinstrips every day because all I do is referee!!!! When do they start to just get along??

Sisterly love?

I just sit here and listen to the girls play, this last for intervals of about 10-15 minutes at a time rotated in is screaming, crying, biting, pulling hair, and whining. Followed by a time out and a cool down period only to be recycled again in the next 10/15 minutes. Why do siblings love so hard?? I try to help them work it out without getting to the fighting point but sometimes it seems like it IS part of their routine or play. Anyone have any advice? By naptime I am exhausted!!

MLK,Jr. Day

Today was a glorious day!! Sun shining, weather is starting to warm up. The kids should be able to go out and play soon. (fingers crossed) Today we played at home for a while took a nap then headed to our dear friend, Jack's house for a play date. The girls were able to make a new friend today, Ava (Kaitlyn pronounces Aba) We had a great time playing outside in the wagon and then with all of Jack's toys. Finally we settled down and watched Nemo while we waited for dinner to arrive. We came home took a bath as I was getting Kaitlyn dressed she didn't want her hair brushed so she kept telling me that she was going night night as she laid her head down. I said well that can be arranged. She said (as she sits up and pulls her leg straight up, the flexibility of children amaze me) I go night night on my leg. I think almost peed my pants. It was so funny. How kids think is so matter of fact sometimes. I love it:)

A New Year, A New Beginning

So it is already the 2nd day into 2010. I started this blog at the end of last year. As you can see I only got as far as setting up the account and page. No pictures, no blogs, nada... This year is going to bring some changes to our lives. I have vowed to simplify my life and spend more quality time hanging the two sweetest girls in town. I didn't really make new year resolutions but a life betterment program...It is more of a bucket list down-scaled. Trying new things, learning more about myself and my kids. Life is about living and this passed year was a blur of one bad experience after another. Stayed tuned for the adventures we have in store...
